Axon Education, LLC D/B/A Axon Education Consortium, D/B/A Texas EMS School is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as follows:

Advanced Initial Education Program :

The following programs are offered under this license:

EMT Basic
- Leads to Texas state certification
- Nationally Registered EMTs (NREMT)
Advanced EMT
- Leads to Texas state certification
- Nationally Registered Advanced-EMTs (NRAEMT)
Paramedic – See accreditation information below
- Leads to Texas state certification or licensure*
- Leads to Nationally Registered Paramedics (NRP)
  - *Texas Licensed Paramedics must hold an Associate’s Degree or higher

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) uses the National Registry Assessment Exam as the state-approved exam.

CE Continuing Education Program :

The following programs are offered under this license:

Continuing education related to Emergency Medical Services.

Accreditation :

The EMT-Paramedic program at the Axon Education Consortium has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This letter is NOT an accreditation status; it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation Standards through the Letter of Review Self-Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the NREMT’s Paramedic credentialing examination(s). However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.

The institution has adopted the following institutional outcome (PAR-100) related to the EMT-Paramedic program:

To prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.

Articulation and Transfer Credit :

Students who complete Axon Education Consortium’s Paramedic program may be eligible to receive credit toward a degree program at Columbia Southern University or the University of Pittsburg.

Transfer Credit Disclosure Axon Education, LLC does not award credit hours for the completion of its courses. Any courses completed at Axon Education, LLC is transferable at the discretion of the receiving institution.
